Gold Star’s action western “Caleb Tanner” has officially entered development with the generous support of Telefilm Canada. In a corrupt mining town, a gunfighter must face up to his past and walk the road to redemption, even if it kills him. According to writer Jason Bourque: “With a backdrop of greed, violence and corruption that festered in the mining towns during the allure of the gold rush, the story of “Caleb Tanner” was influenced by the real-life west coast stories of outlaw Ernest Cashel, the Maclean gang and the town of Barkerville. The feature is being produced by Ken Frith and Heather Lee Douglas and will be directed by Jason Bourque.
